After-treatment Recommendations: immediately following treatment t is possible that small lumps will be seen at the injection sites. This is normal and temporary. They usually disappear after a few hours. There is occasionally some redness or itching at the site of injection. It may last for 1-2 days. Swelling and tenderness may be experienced for 2-3 days and bruising may occur which can last1-10 days. Do not touch the injected area for a few hours and avoid make up for 24 hours. if possible it is recommended to sleep in a supine position(on your back) for the first few nights after treatment. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours. Avoid sun bathing, sauna, steam room, sunbeds and extreme cold weather until all swelling has gone. Avoid facials, dermaplaning, peels, laser treatments and other facial treatments for a minimum of 2 weeks after treatment. Use a good SPF of 30 or higher everyday. If you do exercise any discomfort use paracetamol and for bruising use arnica cream/gel. if swelling or pain persists please contact your aesthetic practitioner as soon as possible. Symptoms of a severe allergic reaction can include shortness or breath, wheezing, coughing, difficulty swallowing, swelling of the tongue, eyelids, lips, hoarseness of the voice, stomach pain, nausea or diarrhea. If you have any of the above symptoms please report to your nearest accident and emergency departmentt or call 999 for an ambulance.
